About The Author

Kriti is a Delhi-born poet, student, and young professional working in the world of diplomacy and public policy. She began working at an age when most people are still figuring out what they want from life, and in doing so, found herself learning from people twice her age about ambition, relationships, loss, resilience, and, perhaps most importantly, about herself. Somewhere between professional rooms, difficult conversations, changing relationships, and the quiet moments in between, she began collecting stories that could not always be spoken.

For Kriti, poetry became the place where the unspoken could finally have a voice. When saying what she felt aloud seemed difficult, she wrote it down instead. Her poems carry the messiness of being human like loving too much, holding on too tightly, feeling lost, questioning everything, and slowly discovering that sometimes the way back home is not a place at all, but the people who choose to stay when life becomes difficult.

She writes for the person who has a thousand thoughts but cannot find the words to explain even one of them. For the person who reads a poem and thinks, “I thought I was the only one who felt this way.”
That is what Kriti hopes her writing can become – a quiet conversation between two strangers who understand each other without ever having met. Where the Storm Meets the Soul is her debut collection, but more than a book, it is a piece of the life she has been learning to put into words.
