Description
About The Book
Killing Cancer: 13 Secrets of the High-Stakes Drug Manufacturing World

Medicines arrive at a pharmacy looking simple — a blister pack, a price tag, an expiry date. What they don’t show is the decade of decisions, regulatory battles, near-failures, and human judgment calls behind every tablet. Killing Cancer pulls back that curtain.

Written by husband-and-wife pharma entrepreneurs Abhinav Garg and Mehak Aggarwal — who have spent years running an oncology drug manufacturing operation from the inside — this book is not a textbook and not a memoir. It’s a working insider’s account of what it actually takes to manufacture life-saving medicines in one of the world’s most demanding regulatory environments.

Across 13 chapters, the authors walk through:

The realities of regulatory compliance and what happens when it goes wrong

Supply chain pressure points that can derail production overnight

The entrepreneurial leap from idea to functioning manufacturing unit

Quality systems — and the manufacturing failures that test them

Leadership decisions made under conditions where the margin for error is nearly zero

India manufactures and exports a significant share of the world’s generic medicines, and this book makes the case that the next generation of pharma leaders needs to understand both the science and the business — together, not as separate worlds.

Honest rather than celebratory, practical rather than promotional, Killing Cancer is written for working pharma professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, students of the industry, and anyone curious about what really happens behind the medicines they trust.
