About The Author
Vinay Kumar Pathak
Vinay Kumar Pathak is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, AKS University, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, India. He holds B.Com., LL.B., and LL.M. degrees, has qualified the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP SET) in Law, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Law.
Mr. Pathak has extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and curriculum development. His areas of specialization include Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, Criminology, Penology, Contract Law and Contemporary Legal Issues. He has published numerous research papers, book chapters, and edited academic books in reputed national and international publications.
His research primarily focuses on Jurisprudence, criminal justice, prisoners’ rights, electoral rights, child protection laws, constitutional governance and legal reforms in India. He is particularly interested in exploring the philosophical foundations of law, the relationship between law and society, and the intersection of law and public policy through doctrinal and interdisciplinary research.
As a dedicated legal academic, Mr. Pathak is committed to advancing quality legal education, promoting constitutional values, and encouraging evidence-based legal research. Prashant Kumar
Prashant Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law at AKS University, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, with over nine years of teaching experience in constitutional law, human rights, international law, and family law. He holds an LL.M. from H.N.B. Garhwal Central University, Srinagar (Uttarakhand), is qualified in the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP-SET) in Law, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. on “Uniform Civil Code: Gender Justice in India – An Analytical Approach.”
Prashant Kumar has actively contributed to legal scholarship through numerous research papers, book chapters, edited volumes, and conference presentations on constitutional law, jurisprudence, human rights, environmental law, and the Uniform Civil Code. He is the author of the book Uniform Civil Code in India: Comparative Perspectives from Goa and Uttarakhand and has edited several academic books and journals. His research has been published in reputed peer-reviewed and indexed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing legal education and constitutional discourse.
As a dedicated academician and researcher, he has also supervised postgraduate dissertations, participated in national and international faculty development programmes, and remains committed to promoting excellence in legal research, teaching and policy-oriented scholarship.
Utkarsh Mishra
Utkarsh Mishra is a young legal scholar and researcher with a strong academic foundation in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, and Human Rights. He graduated with a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) with specialization in Criminal Law from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, where he pursued the five-year integrated law programmed from 2019 to 2024, securing an impressive CGPA of 8.31. He subsequently completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from AKS University, Satna, Madhya Pradesh, during the academic session 2024–2026, obtaining 77.27% marks. Throughout his academic journey, he actively participated in national conferences, seminars, workshops, and webinars on emerging legal issues, with particular interest in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Maritime Law, and Legal Research. He also completed a legal aid exposure programmed with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Dehradun, gaining practical insights into the criminal justice system and correctional institutions.
Utkarsh Mishra has authored several peer-reviewed research papers on constitutional rights, prisoners’ voting rights, and comparative legal studies, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based legal scholarship and democratic values. His research interests include criminal justice reform, constitutional governance, human rights, and comparative public law. Through his academic writing and legal research, he seeks to contribute meaningfully to contemporary legal discourse and the development of progressive legal policies in India.
