About The Author

Abhijit Maiti is a qualified Safety Professional with over 19 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environment & Fire (HSE&F) across industrial and construction sectors. He possesses extensive expertise in industrial safety management, hazard control, accident investigation, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance in accordance with the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act and OSHA Standards.
He holds a B.Sc., B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour Institute (RLI), Kolkata, and M.Tech in Industrial Safety and Engineering from GIFT Autonomous College, Odisha. In addition, he has earned a Fire and Safety Certification and is a Certified Internal Auditor.
During his professional career, he has been actively involved in the implementation of safety management systems, permit-to-work procedures, fire safety management, safety audits, contractor safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response planning in high-risk industrial environments, including construction, power generation, and petrochemical industries.
