About The Book
Some memories fade with time.
Others quietly shape the rest of our lives.
Life rarely unfolds in grand moments. More often, it reveals itself through small mischiefs, unexpected joys, quiet heartbreaks, and the lessons that only time can bring.
In Fifty Paise Meals and Rainbow Dreams, Part I, Anirban Banerjee presents fourteen stories that travel from the playful chaos of childhood to the uncertainties of adolescence and the complex realities of adulthood. Along the way, the protagonist navigates friendship, first love, betrayal, forgiveness, and the intricate bonds that shape human relationships.
Through humour, reflection, and moments of quiet intensity, these stories explore resilience, the struggles of everyday life, and the courage required to overcome obstacles and move forward.
Anirban Banerjee writes stories that explore memory, humour, and the quiet emotional turning points that shape our lives. Drawing inspiration from childhood experiences, friendships, and the complex journey of growing up, his writing blends nostalgia with reflections on love, loss, resilience, and forgiveness.
About The Author
Anirban Banerjee is an independent corporate trainer and wellness consultant whose professional journey has been shaped by attentive listening and a deep curiosity about human nature. Before stepping into the world of training and consulting, he spent nearly two decades as a medical journalist, working closely with physicians in the United States—an experience that sharpened his understanding of people, their vulnerabilities, and their quiet strengths and struggles.
Anirban grew up in Asansol, in the warm, unhurried lanes of small-town Bengal, before migrating to Bangalore and stepping into the restless rhythm of urban India. Between these two worlds, he found his stories. Fifty Paise Meals and Rainbow Dreams, Part I, is his first book, with two more journeys waiting to unfold. He believes that within every adult survives a child who still marvels, still feels deeply. It is this quiet innocence that breathes through his writing.
Readers who wish to share their thoughts, compliments, or reflections on the stories may write to him at fiftypaisemeals@gmail.com. He would be glad to hear from you.
